War and Food Security

August 9, 2010

The relationships between war and food security are complex. These relationships are best examined within socio-historical contexts. It can be expected that wars will increase as food insecurity increases globally. Open source ecological projects are as potentially subject to local or intrastate warfare, just as are any other humanly populated geographic territory.

Here is a juxtaposition of perspectives: on the one hand there are those who might view open source farming and newly formed 30 acre global villages with suspicion. Author of http://globalguerrillas.typepad.com/globalguerrillas/2004/09/bazaar_dynamics.html might.

On the other hand possibly bucolic members of http://ooooby.ning.com/video/how-to-build-a-postscarcity?xg_source=activity could find a localized  project a marvel to many and a stunning example of what could be done.

This blog is intended to explore some of the major impacts of the international water crisis, global warfare and food scarcity.
